The Future of Aloha

The Aloha Research Committee (ARC) is seeking a small group of volunteers to serve on a team that will study and evaluate options for Aloha’s future governance, including the potential for incorporation or the creation of a Community Service District.

This team will take a thoughtful, objective look at the pros and cons of each approach—considering impacts on services, costs, local control, and long-term community needs. The goal is to provide clear, fact-based information to help inform the broader community.

We welcome individuals who are interested in civic engagement, and willing to contribute their time and ideas. Individuals with experience in legal matters, land use, budgeting, and finance are important members to have on this team.

You must live or own property in the Aloha – Reedville, Cooper Mountain area (essentially within the old CPO6 boundary. Click here for the map). KQRZ Has Expanded Coverage Areas!

Thank you for being patient while we have been testing and moving our radio signals around Washington County. We have good news that we have now expanded our coverage down in the Tigard, Durham, King City, Metzger, Tualatin, and portions of Lake Oswego. Tune to 100.7 FM to receive us for those previously mentioned areas. KQRZ is operating with 100 watts ERP in these new areas.

You can still receive us in the current coverage areas where you have been listening to us all of these years on 96.7 FM. This includes Beaverton, Aloha Reedville, Cedar Mills, Rock Creek, and Hillsboro areas. You may also receive us better in the Scholls and Bull Mountain areas better than before.

Since RF coverage is unpredictable, you will want to set two (2) of your car radio push buttons to 96.7 and another to 100.7 and toggle between the two buttons to “home-in” on receiving the best signal as you travel around the west side area. As time goes on, you will discover what frequency you receive us the best on (as many of you are already doing).
